Description

Esta foto participó En otro lugar de Flickr

Pertenece al segundo recinto amurallado que rodea la ciudad y cierra el recinto de la ciudadela con el de la ciudad, una de las de mayor esbeltez del conjunto. Situada en el lado norte; a pesar de que en la actualidad conserva únicamente uno de los dos arcos de los que se componía, la profusa decoración de ladrillo que contiene, de gran similitud con la visible en la puerta de San Basilio, no deja lugar a dudas sobre su estilo. Conserva restos mudéjares, tiene una rosca de ladrillos y posteriormente se añadió otra rosca de dovelas de piedra. Se conserva solamente lo que es el arco, faltándole todo lo que sería una puerta bien desarrollada, que se puede adivinar, era de grandes dimensiones, en el centro destaca el escudo del concejo de Cuéllar.
