any kind on a mass basis it is necessary to havesome central point where parts or large sectionscan be made ready for delivery to the job site. This means that there is nothing to prevent thehome in its entirety being factory-built. In fact, itis the next logical step in the case of certain mate-rials, such as steel and aluminum, and its fabri-cators are becoming aware of the opportunity. Certainly a factory is better equipped for mak-ing various steel and aluminum shapes, since ithas all the necessary tools, dies and fixtures. If not,they can be readily made or procured, and thefabricating of parts undertaken on a large volumebasis. From the foregoing it can be readily concludedthat prefabrication and factory-built are in factinterchangeable terms as applied to home-build-ing.
