rooms, etc. Ten-Story Building Lawton & Moldenhour are architectsfor a ten-story building which is to housemercantile establishments and offices, onthe northwest corner of Third avenueand Pike street, Seattle, for the RepublicBuilding Company. The building, whichis to cost $750,000, will occupy a space of108 feet on Pike street and 116 feet onThird avenue, and is to be faced with terra cotta. Designing Memorial Buildings The office of Architect Henry H.Meyers, Kohl building, San Francisco, isdesigning Veterans Memorial buildingsfor Berkeley and Alameda. The plansfor Oaklands veteran memorial buildingwere finished sometime ago and construc-tion is under way. Mr. Myers recentlydeparted on a six months trip abroad. Three-Story Hotel Plans have been completed by Archi-tect Norman Alpaugh, 2404 West Seventhstreet, Los Angeles, for a three-storyhotel building to be built in BenedictCanyon, near Ventura boulevard.
