Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Long Island Rail Road Arch Street Shops, as seen from the Hunterspoint Avenue Long Island Rail Road station in the Long Island City section of Queens, New York City. The Arch Street Shops were built in a segment of the Sunnyside Yard on the grounds of a former segment of the New York and Flushing Railroad (later Flushing and North Side Railroad) that was converted into the North Shore Freight Branch upon acquisition by the LIRR and passed by what is today Gantry Plaza State Park before curving south at the current Long Island City LIRR station.
