Summary[edit]

Description Sometime around 8 o'clock the sun broke through to a great cheer from the crowd around Jiangnan Sky Pond. This photo, taken at 08:27 - just five minutes before First Contact, shows the spectators starting to put on their special eclipse spectacles to look for the first evidence of the solar eclipse - a small piece of the sun gone black.
