Apparatus for producing electricity.
Description
English: A Tesla coil circuit used for electrotherapy, a quack medical field that fluorished from the 1890s to the 1930s, in which high voltage alternating current of high frequency was applied to the patient's body to treat a variety of ailments. After electrotherapy declined during the 1920s it was used for the first diathermy machines, which were used to apply deep heat to body tissues.
