Description
Deutsch: Apothekengefäß mit Aufschrift R(adix) Gladiola zur Aufbewahrung von Schwertlilienwurlzelpräparaten. Holz, gedrechselt und bemalt, im Deutschen Apothekenmuseum Heidelberg. Nach Auskunft des Museums nicht Österreich ca. 15. oder 16. Jahrhundert, sondern eine Fälschung aus der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Abbildung in der Wappenkartusche hat keinen direkten Bezug auf den Inhalt.
English: Apothecary vessel with inscription R(adix) Gladiola. Made of turned timber, painted. Located in Deutsches Apothekenmuseum, Heidelberg, Germany. According to the museum not Austria, dating to 15th or 16th century, but a forgery of the second half of the 20th century.
