Summary[edit]

Description

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Boscalt is located about 2 km south of the town of Ansovell. The feast of Our Lady of Boscalt is on September 8, but about 40 years ago, due to the decrease in the number of attendees, it was decided to move it to the day. Currently the new rector wants to make another change of date, because the current one coincides with Aristotle's feast day, where mass is held on the same Sunday; that is why he proposes moving the meeting to the following Sunday.

According to a legend collected by the Dominican religious Narcís Camós in the book Jardín de María, planted in the principado de Catalunya, published in 1657 in Barcelona, the The origin of the sanctuary is marked by the discovery of an image of the Virgin Mary, made by a shepherd from Estana under a leafy boxwood located one kilometer from the current sanctuary, near the bottom of the stream.
