Description
Español: Antonio Víctor Mulet (1933-2007), desde su lugar de escritor, educador, promotor cultural y, más adelante, su rol de funcionario público, presentó varios proyectos vinculados con el fomento a la lectura. El docente propuso, a través de un senador sanjuanino, el establecimiento del 23 de setiembre como “Día de las Bibliotecas Populares”, aprobado por Decreto nacional N°1932/90, el 19 de setiembre de 1990. Además, como presidente de la Federación de Bibliotecas Populares de San Juan, inauguró el 17 de diciembre de 1988 el primer “Monumento al Libro” del país, y uno de los primeros del mundo. Está erigido en la Plaza Antonino Aberastain de la capital sanjuanina.
