depth of 18 inches, and below 201 withcoarse gravel; the building of the masonry arch bridge for the AshStreet crossing over the open channel; the remainder of the reservoirexcavation, the sloping of the shore and the placing of a protectionof riprap; also the grading of a portion of Ash Street as relocated,and the spreading of large quantities of loam over the mounds northand south of the open channel. On Section 1 only 17 per cent, of the value of the contract hadbeen done the previous year. Nearly 200,000 cubic yards of earthhave been excavated, and 3,500 feet of shore have been trimmed toslope and protected with riprap. Ash Street as relocated has beengraded, and the shaping and surfacing of the large mound south ofthe reservoir is now substantially completed. The final cleaning upof the grounds is substantially all that will be required to completethis section. On Section 2 at the beginning of the year more than one-halfof the work remained to be done.
