ath point out, the vast majority of malignant tumorsof the testis are of epithelial and rarely, if ever, of mesoblastic origin. Wemust, therefore, for all practical purposes, discard the term .sarcoma testis as amisnomer. An apparent exception is Ewings case of primary lympho-sarcoma of the testis in a boy aged five and one-half years. Seminomes and teratomata occur with about equal frequency in the literature. Chevassureports 59 seminomes and 61 teratomata. It still remains to be determined KUTZMANN AND GIBSON detinitely whether the so-called seminomes are derivatives of the epithe-lium of the seminiferous tubules, as Chevassu first maintained, or are to beclassed as teratomata, as Ewing maintains. In a future publication fromthe Departments of Urology and Surgical Pathology, a careful pathologicalstudy of a series of cases will be reported with a view to adding to theevidence gradually accumulating in this discussion.
