It was intimately connected with thebladder at the point of urachal contact and was densely adherentto the posterior bladder-wall, as well as to the intestines, thegreater part of the posterior sac-wall being made up of abdominalviscera. After freeing the anterior wall of the cyst sufhciently,I made a plastic closure of the original point of rupture throughthe abdominal wall. A catheter was passed into the bladderthrough the urethra and allowed to remain for several days.The abdominal wound was closed without drainage. Patientmade an uninterrupted recovery and was about the house onthe fourteenth day. Two months later I was told by Dr. Stow^ell that the ab-dominal wall had given way again a trifle lower down towardthe symphysis, and urine is again discharging through a smallsinus. I have advised its closure, but shall not attempt anythingmore radical than plastic closure, not entering the peritonealca
