Summary[edit]

Description
English: This is a video edit by Silicon Valley, California, Fine Art and Real Estate Broker Anna D. Smith, who hired Dan Powers Sound+Vision to ariel drone her curated Billboard Art Installation, the Anna D. Smith's "Look Up! 2" Hope and Beauty Billboard Art Exhibition, Dec. 27, 2021 - Jan. 31, 2022, Silicon Valley, California.

The exhibition featured "Colored Girl Warholed" by American prison artist Donald "C-Note" Hooker. Colored Girl Warholed is a 2015 work which uses a highlighted version of C-Note's 2009, Wax on paper, "Colored Girl."

Colored Girl Warholed is a work that was inspired by Andy Warhol’s 1962 work, "Four Marilyns." Six months after C-Note made prints available of his work, Warhol’s Four Marilyns sold at Christie’s for $36 million.

The purpose for the edit was to feature the work of "the Billboard Banksy," American prisoner artist Donald "C-Note" Hooker, during his Black August Month Art Sale Event, August of 2022. During the event, it was widely distributed in the press, that Black August had become the Black History Month Alternative for freedom fighters.
