People[edit]

Standing from left to right are:

  • LeBaron Hart Lindauer (1878-1945) as "Leboran Lowe" in the boater hat. He matches other known images of him.
  • possibly John Wahl II as "Joe Lowe" in the fedora hat
  • Anna Augusta Kershaw (1841-1931). She would be 79 years old in 1920.
  • possibly Anna Lillian Lindauer (1872-1956). She would be 48 in 1920.
  • man in vest and cap, possibly John Wahl I

Standing from left to right are:

  • most likely Ada Augusta Freudenberg (1884-1957). Her husband owned a camera.
  • child, most likely 10 years old, possibly Joseph Lowe (1903-1979). He would be 17 years old in 1920, so if it is him, the image is from an earlier year. It could be John Wahl III (1924-1975) and the image could be as late as the year 1930.
  • possibly Blanche Lowe (1897-1998). She would be 23 years old in 1920.

Notes[edit]

Eloise Lindauer was not aware of the names of the family members. I was looking at the 1925 New York census on May 10, 2024 that made me realize that Blanche Lowe was labeled correctly and the others incorrectly. LeBaron Hart Lindauer is labeled as "Leboran Lowe" which I had thought was "Debora". I just noticed that it is also spelled phonetically in the 1925 census.
