Standing from left to right are: The fiance of Joe Lowe, they never married; Joseph Lowe (1903-1979); LeBaron Hart Lindauer (1878-1945); Arthur Oscar Lindauer (1867-1944), the trapeze performer. Sitting from left to right are: Ada Augusta Freudenberg (1884-1957); Anna Lillian Lindauer (1873-1956), widow of Ira Lowe; Anna Augusta Kershaw (1841-1931) widow of Charles Frederick Lindauer (1836-1921); Eloise Lindauer (1860-1935), widow of Max S. Freudenberg (1858-1921); Catherine Marie Harney (1878-1966); and Clara Freudenberg (1889-1959). The photograph was taken in May of 1929 at 209 Locust Avenue in Rye, New York. The photographer was Ralph Kohlman (1885-1957) using his own camera.
Notes[edit]
The image was taken by Ralph Kohlman (1884-1957) with his own camera. This image was scanned at 1,600 dpi with a Canon LIDE 110 using GIMP as the editing software. There is a second photograph in which Joseph Lowe (1903-1979) operates the camera so Ralph can appear in the photograph. The address is presumably 209 Locust Avenue, Rye, New York. It was the home of Anna Augusta Kershaw (1841-1931) and her husband Charles Frederick Lindauer (1836-1921). She lived at the house until 1929 and in the 1930 US census she had moved into an apartment with her unmarried son, Arthur Oscar Lindauer (1867-1944). This may be a party to celebrate selling the property, and moving to the apartment. The house is no longer extant.
