Description

Deutsche Ankertaumine DM 21 aus der Sammlung des Marinemuseums Wilhelmshaven. Die Ladung von ca. 40 kg TNT wurde elektrisch gezündet wenn die sog. Hörner bei Kontakt mit einem Schiffsrumpf deformiert wurden.

Mine im Transportzustand. Unten im Vordergrund, die Seiltrommel mit dem Drahtseil des so genannten Voreilgewichts, mit dessen Hilfe die Mine auf eine bestimmte Tiefe voreingestellt wird. Das als Ankertau bezeichnete Drahtseil, das die Mine mit dem Minenwagen (auch Ankerstuhl) verbindet, befindet sich im Minenwagen, der als Anker der Mine am Grund verbleibt.
