Description
English: Thank you to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir for inviting me to speak yesterday. In the coming days, we will mark one of the most important Hindu holidays of the year - Diwali, the Festival of Lights. It is an occasion for Hindus, as well as Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists, in India and around the world, to celebrate the victory of good over evil. As Leader of the Canada’s Conservatives, I know that Canada and India are natural partners. A year ago I visited India to strengthen ties between our two countries. On behalf of Canada’s Conservatives, I want to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes for a happy, healthy, bright, and colourful Diwali to all of you and to your families.
