Description
Español: Retrato del rey Carlos III de España (1716-1788). Esta obra, que fue pintada por Andrés de la Calleja, es una copia del retrato del mismo monarca realizado por Anton Raphael Mengs y conservado en el Museo del Prado. Esta copia fue donada a la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando por su autor en 1777, y el rey Carlos III aparece de pie, cubierto con armadura, con un fajín rojo en su cintura y con una bengala en su mano derecha. Y también lleva los collares de la Orden del Toisón de Oro, de la Orden del Espíritu Santo y de la Orden de San Jenaro, que fue creada por el propio Carlos III al comienzo de su reinado en Nápoles.
