impact.ese.ic.ac.uk/ImpactEffects/ Earth Impact Effects Program is a university application that calculates the physical effects from any rock from space large enough to form a crater on Earth. The Sudbury impacter laid a stupefying "whupping" that was at least a continent wide upon ancient Earth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudbury_Basin
