Description |
English: An undecorated flat axe of Early Bronze Age date (c. 2200-19000BC). The Axe is probably a Migdale type flat axe. These are dated the Early Bronze Age (EBA phase II/III), of metalworking stage IV-VI, which corresponds to Needham's (1996) Period 2-3 c.2250-1900calBC. The flat axe is broadly sub triangular in plan with a narrow butt with side expanding to a splayed crescent shaped blade.
