Summary
[edit]DescriptionAn Indian Chameleon Trying to cross the road - Flickr - Hari K Patibanda.jpg |
We were returning from the birding spot when we chanced upon this beauty crossing a 80 feet wide road and was nearing the footpath. Luckily there were no vehicles while it was crossing or else it would have been squashed. But when it reached the end of the road, the footpath was almost half a feet tall and the poor thing couldn't get on it at all. My friend added a stone near to it which it climbed and tried to go over the footpath into the bush, but couldn't. So he used a stick and gently nudged it up onto the footpath where it moved on to nearby tree. I was delighted that it even made that far since the area is known to have raptors and crossing a 80 feet wide road openly would have made it easy food. Many thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated. |
