English: Final Report to Congress on the Amtrak Route System As Required by the Amtrak Improvement Act of 1978 (P.L. 95-421). Dated January 31, 1979.
The report recommends a restructuring of the system estimated to result in a 43% decrease in route miles, a 20% decrease in passenger miles, a 9% decrease in ridership, and a 23% decrease in operating appropriations. |
