Summary
[edit]DescriptionAmerican Red Cross camouflaged "Crache." 17513v.jpg |
English: Title: American Red Cross camouflaged "Crache." The American Army has a camp where all materials destined for the front are camouflaged. They wanted a number of French women to help them with this work. The women were, for the most part, mothers, and could not do the work as there was no one to care for their babies. The Red Cross was asked to care for them and opened this home, which is under the direction of Miss Mary E. Mather as directrice. The mothers and children are, for the most part, refugees from the invaded districts, as well as the French nurses who are seen standing on both sides of Miss Mather
