English: Some books had arrived for me at the Big Green Bookshop in Wood Green.
When I turn the corner into Brampton Park Road I'm always hopeful that the alleyway opposite the shop will be clear and reasonably clean. Not this time. Tim West from the bookshop told me they think there may be at least three separate companies collecting waste from the bins in Amber Mews. And that there is always rubbish left behind. He added that one of the residential tenants in the Mews claimed that their landlord told them to leave their domestic waste next to the litter bin near the bookshop. __________ One day we may have a competently led local borough Council. With politicians and top managers running it realise that ensuring properly run basic services must be a priority.
