| Description |
Amanita subnudipes (Romagn.) Tulloss Image location: Pistoia, Toscana, Italy 3 specimen dried in herbarium. This is a patch I observe since 3 years. this observation should be associated with 171077. Volva and stem are very similar to observation 171077. The only thing which always differs is that specimens from this location do not grow in open air and the pileus goes from ovate to conical and I do not remember to have seen this patch with an umbonate pileus when mature nor I’ve seen this patch getting mature fruits with caps large over 5-6 cm. Pileus color is always orange, universal veil patches absent or very rare, and the stem is gently scaled and has a very pale orange/pink tint and so it is the volval sac. Recognized by sight
