Summary[edit]
DescriptionAmanita suballiacea (Murrill) Murrill 371293.jpg |
Amanita suballiacea (Murrill) Murrill Image location: Devil’s Lake State Park, Wisconsin, USA Common destroying angel seen in Wisconsin. Too robust to really call Amanita bisporigera but is KOH + thus probably ruling out A magnivelaris. Description for “Sturgeon’s Destroying Angel” seems to fit best. Reports of it by Wisconsin Mycological Society members over the past couple of forays and it’s usually pretty commonly seen this time of the year in Wisconsin. Based on chemical features: nrITS and nrLSU sequences
