Amanita rhoadsii Murrill Image location: Big Thicket, Hardin Co., Texas, USA Found in the Turkey Creek Unit of the Big Thicket NP. Cap 6.5 cm across surface. Spore print white to creamy. Spores amyloid. Spores ~ 11.0-13.8 X 3.8-4.1 microns, cylindric to bacciliform, and smooth. These were found in the same general area as MO#242174 and appear to be a younger version of those. The spore data is very similar. Recognized by sight
