Description

Amanita peckiana Kauffman


  • Observation Notes: Amanita peckiana fungi mushrooms growing in mixed woods (mostly pine) at the Big Thicket, Tyler Co., Texas, USA.
  • Caps were up to 7.9 cm across. Caps with striations up to 7mm long. The spore print was whitish to creamy.
  • Spores were amyloid and ~ 11.3-13.3(14.0) X 4.9-5.3(6.0) microns, cylindric and smooth.

Q(ave) = 2.40. Q(range) = 2.15-2.66.

  • I did not detect a strong odor.
