Summary[edit]

Description
English: Built circa 1795, this two-story log house is the oldest remaining building in Falmouth, and was constructed for Alvin Monty, an early resident of the town. The building features a log exterior with two-over-two and six-over-six double-hung windows, a rough-hewn stone base, brick chimneys with rough-hewn stone bases, weatherboard cladding on the gable ends of the wooden shingle side-gable roof, and a shed roof rear ell clad with weatherboard cladding. The building is a contributing structure in the Central Falmouth Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
