Description
Deutsch: Typische Alternsverläufe:

(1) Alterungsprozess bei Progerie (vorzeitige Vergreisung).
(2) Beschleunigte Alterung durch Risikofaktoren wie Bluthochdruck, Nikotin, u.ä.
(2A) Ohne therapeutische Maßnahmen.
(2B) Im Fall einer therapeutischen Maßnahme nach einem Akutereignis, beispielsweise eines Schlaganfalls, kann eine Besserung der Vitalität und der Lebenserwartung erzielt werden.
(3) Eine schnelle Funktionsbeeinträchtigung, mit einer langen Phase von Behinderung und Pflegeabhängigkeit, wie sie im Fall von Demenz typisch ist.
(4) Ein Beispiel für „normales“ Altern mit nur geringen Beeinträchtigungen auch in hohem Alter.
(5) Ein idealtypischer Alternsverlauf
