Description
Centsprent met 8 x 4 omkaderde houtsneden, met een versie van het verhaal van Jan de Wasser, die trouwt met Griet Feeks. Hij moet het hele huishouden en de opvoeding van hun zoon verzorgen. Met opmerkingen waaruit blijkt dat deze situatie niet deugt: 'Jan dwijlt de stoep; dat past toch niet'. Griet slaat Jan als het kind schreeuwt, het kind 'moet nu ook eens uit de broek' en als het stout is slaat Jan zijn zoon met een roe.
