Summary[edit]
DescriptionAlperton, Piccadilly Line viaduct and Rosemont Road arches - geograph.org.uk - 795068.jpg |
English: Alperton: Piccadilly Line viaduct and Rosemont Road arches Compared to the usual shambolic occupation of railway arches by traders with alleged dubious intentions, these are extraordinarily neat and tidy and executed with almost military precision! The arches are on Rosemont Road, under the long viaduct that carries the present Piccadilly Line over the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal, between Alperton and Park Royal stations. I am guessing that the viaduct dates from around 1903 when Alperton railway station was opened. |
