| Description |
English: Almost dead stop on the M2, Belfast The southbound M2 is having a third lane added between Sandyknowes and Greencastle. This involves the construction of new overbridges. The three northbound lanes have been reduced to two to accommodate the work. The photo (taken at 16.50) shows a clutch-slipping queue of some 2½ miles (and getting longer). The two right-hand lanes are designated part of the M5 and lead in the direction of Carrickfergus. They are not affected. The view is from the Fortwilliam roundabout overbridge. |
