Christus hangt aan het kruis. Aan de voet van het kruis Mozes en koning David (links) en Paulus en Johannes de Doper (rechts). Rondom diverse verwijzingen naar de opstanding van Christus: boven het kruis en aan de rechterzijde een adelaar, onderaan een kip met haar kuikens, en aan de linkerzijde een feniks. Op de achtergrond de oprichting van de koperen slang door Mozes.
