English: detail of an engraving depicting a bust of Fracastoro. The inscription points to the bust in question to be the large medallion (diameter 48 cm) by Giovanni da Cavino although the resemblance is poor. The medallion is frequently reproduced e.g. fig. 15 of J. Dunkerton et al., Burlington Mag., 2013, vol CLV: 4-15; also fig. 187. of Harold Maxwell, Sydney Selwyn: A history of medicine
