Description After tumbling down this enormous Beech in Warnsborn Schaarsbergen, the Fomes fomentarius (Tinder fungus or Ice man fungus, D= Zunderschwamm, F= Amadouvier, NL= Echte tonderzwam; some call it Tondelzwam) white spores and causes white rot; start again growing. You can see them horizontal and vertical! That is called Geotropism.
