Anincreasing number of intelligent Cubans, and mul-titudes of the country people have come to recog-nize that intolerance and misrepresentation cannotprevent Protestant doctrine, example, and institu-tions from being trusted and cherished by thosewho are sincere in their search for a Savior whosaves. The impact of Protestantism is thereforecausing the Roman Catholic Church to improve itsmethods and teachings. The attitude of the mis-sionaries and Christian Cuban leaders is one of un-varying devotion to the interests of Cuba, as a na-tion, and to the Cuban people in their upwardcourse in matters of religion, education, industries,commerce, and home life. Patience, self-sacrifice,and genuine sympathy and love characterize theirdaily dealings with the people.
