Deutsch: Der deutsche Maler Adolf Henning [1809 - 1900] erreichte im Herbst 1833 Rom. Sofort begann er mit der Arbeit an dem großen Ölgemälde, das das berühmte Modell Fortunata Segatori als Dichterin zeigt und sich nun im Thorvaldsen Museum in Kopenhagen (Dänemark) befindet. Neben der zeitlichen Nähe und der physischen Ähnlichkeit ist auch die Linkshändigkeit der Dargestellten ein weiterer dezenter Hinweis, dass es sich auch bei dieser Bleistiftzeichnung um Fortunata Segatori handelt.
English: The German painter Adolf Henning [1809 - 1900] arrived in Rome in the autumn of 1833. He immediately began work on the large oil painting depicting the famous model Fortunata Segatori as a poetess, which is now in the Thorvaldsen Museum in Copenhagen (Denmark). In addition to the temporal proximity and the physical resemblance, the sitter's left-handedness is another subtle clue that this pencil drawing is also of Fortunata Segatori.
