English: Ad Gefrin, Yeavering Site of an important Anglo-Saxon royal township of the 7th century kings of Northumbria. The site was lost until its rediscovery through aerial photographs in 1949. Excavations have also revealed evidence of Neolithic settlements. Defra have created a new path and access area to the Ad Gefrin site.
