Implementation: Upon your approval the superintendent will be in a position to inform the responsible authorities thus permitting the stone to be cut and carved in time for the dedication scheduled for July 1. subject to further approval of the full text and the development plan. Recommendation: It is recommended that you approve the memorial as discussed above at your earliest convenience. (Sgd.) George A. Palmer Acting Regional Director Enclosures cc: Chief, EODC Supt., Gettysburg Approved: Director _________________________ Date To: Chief, EODC Superintendent Wing informed us that the donors of the plaque have no representatives in Gettysburg to provide planning data for the plot plan. We would appreciate the assistance of your Office in preparing the plan for us. Superintendent Wing is having cross sections made of the site and will supply this information within the next few days. We are enclosing our copies of the prints which we would appreciate your returning after they have served their purpose. Thanks.
