Summary
[edit]DescriptionAccident at Connolly - 1971 - (5) - geograph.org.uk - 3245214.jpg |
English: Accident at Connolly - 1971 - (5) The accident site with (from left) carriage sidings, the line to Newcomen Junction, the lines to North Strand Junction, Connolly signal cabin (since demolished), the GNR(I) main line to Drogheda, Dundalk and Belfast and the since altered former steam shed (used in 1971 for diesel locomotive repairs and stabling). Note the typical railwayman’s attire of the 1970s – not a single yellow jacket in sight! |
