English: Elevation view and top view of a regular octahedron, with notations and equalities. The notations and colors are the same in the only view of this image. The three diagonal squares of the solid are drawn in blue, red and green. T and V are the centers of the horizontal faces ABC and HLU. The upper face is ABC. The edge length is a. The diagonal length is a √2 ou AH. The slope of (AH ) is γ. The midpoint S of [VT ] is the center of the solid. The cross section of the solid by the horizontal plane passing through S is a regular hexagon with white sides. Its center is S, its side length is Its vertices are the midpoints of the six slanted edges of the octahedron.
