Deutsch: Vorderseite: AV Γ IOV OVH MAΞIMENOC. Drapierte Panzerbüste des Maximinus Thrax mit Lorbeerkranz in der Rückenansicht nach r.

Rückseite: ABYΔHNΩ. Leander durchschwimmt nach r. den Hellespont. Hero steht r. auf einem Turm und hält in der r. Hand eine Lampe.

Kommentar: Leander aus Abydos durchschwamm jede Nacht den Hellespont, um seine Geliebte Hero, eine Aphroditepriesterin in Sestos auf der anderen Seite der Meerenge, zu treffen. Zur Orientierung benutzte Leander eine von Hero gehaltene Lampe. Als diese während eines Sturms erlosch, ertrank Leander, da er den Weg zum Ufer nicht mehr finden konnte. Als Hero schließlich die Leiche ihres Geliebten am Stand fand, beging sie Selbstmord.
