English: Origin and evolution of the bilophodont pattern in paenungulates: a new structural scenario for upper molars including the stem taxa Ocepeia and Abdounodus vwhich documents two intermediate stages between the tribosphenictri-tubercular pattern and the quadritubercular-bilophodont pattern. Black circles: paracone and metacone, green circle: metaconule; red circle: protocone; blue circle: hypocone; transverse lines: proto- and metaloph; double arrow: interloph.
Deutsch: Ursprung und Entwicklung des bilophodonten Kauflächenmusters der Paenungulata: ein neues strukturelles Szenario, dass die Stammtaxa Ocepeia und Abdounodus einschließt und zwei intermediäre Stadien zwischen dem tribosphenisch-tritubercularen Muster und dem quadritubercular-bilophodonten Muster dokumentiert.
