| Description |
English: Abbey Mill View northwards from the small riverside park with the modern weir to the left. The Abbey Mill is thought to have 12th century foundations from dating from when the River Avon was diverted through the town. The present building was built in 1793 with the east side added in the 19th century. Not so long ago it was a tearoom with a working water wheel (right edge of picture). Now it has been converted into flats (which must be exciting when the floods reach the entrance ramp on the right).
