Plate 310.—In this manner children may be placed in the large body Solenoid and givenagreeable and beneficial treatment in convalescence from all exhausting diseases. As no un-dressing is necessary and no irritation is caused the child it is a measure of great conven-ience as well as value. The sedative action of the potent Alternating Current taken directlyfrom the electric-light circuit has also benefited acute cases. For instance, a girl with per-tussis was placed in the Solenoid daily for a half hour and it seemed to modify the diseasematerially. STUDIES m HIGH-FKEQUENCY CUEEBNTS 645 currents are obtained. Three metliods of treatment are used forthese cases. 1. Auto-conduction.
