A single rim sherd from a possible Roman jar.
Description
English: The sherd is a rim fragment from a possible jar. The ware is oxidised ware, with orange coloured surfaces with a mid grey coloured core. The fabric is quite soft. There a small voids within the fabric suggesting an organic temper. The rim is a curvaceous ‘C’ shape in profile. The ware may be Severn Valley Ware, therefore dating to the Roman period.

The breaks are quite fresh. It weighs 16.22g.
