| Description |
English: Is evoked a complete covering of an Euclidean plane with an infinity of squares, all congruent. Their equal sizes are the leg lengths of a given right triangle, which is isoceles. Every square element of the tiling has a slope equal to the ratio of sizes: a / b = 1, so a square pattern in dashed red is indefinitely repeated horizontally and vertically. Its surface is covered by four half elements of tiling, hence this equality of areas: 2 a 2 = c 2, a particular Pythagorean identity. |
