| Description | Paths run all along the island, along the shores of Lake Ontario. This pleasant wooden boardwalk with fallen foliage strewn it was another slice of heaven, with the huge expanse of Lake Ontario on one side. Only, as this is a lake and not the sea, there was no sound of the waves hitting the beach. Also, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is about 5 km north of here (straight ahead 5km away), and this being a rather busy commuter airport serving mostly turboprops, there was a constant hum of airplanes coming in to land. (Toronto, Canada, Nov.2015) |
