Description

Pelzhaus. Bildunterschrift: Ausstellungsobjekt der Milleniums-Ausstellung in Budapest 1896. Entworfen und ausgeführt von der Firme JOSEF KATZER, Budapest. - Diese originelle Arbeit, die seiner Zeit in allen Fachkreisen lobende Anerkennung gefunden hat, zeigt ein „Alfölder Bauernhaus“ dessen äussere und innere Bekleidung aus nur naturellem Pelzwerk zusammengestellt ist.

Der steinartige Sockel aus naturellem Seehund ruht auf einem Unterbau mit Suslikfellen verkleidet. Grundmauern und Fensterverschläge sind aus Maulwurf. Die Hauptwände sind Posten aus Biesamwammen; auf den Pfosten sind Igel als Abschlüsse angebracht, die Fehschweifboas im Maul halten, Fenster und Thürvorsprünge aus Fehwammen. Die Giebelwände aus n. Seehund. Die vier Ecken des Hauses zieren vier verschiedene Fuchsfelle. Das Dach besteht aus austr. Opossumschwänzen die schindelartig übereinander liegen; der Schornstein aus Grebesfellen und auf demselben ein Storchennest.
Auf dem entgegengesetzten Giebel breitet ein bosnischer Steinadler seine Flügel aus. Am Eingange des Hauses steht ein brauner Bär, auf einer Standarte die Ehrenzeichen der Firma haltend. Im Innern des Hauses waren die eigentlichen Kürschnerarbeiten der Firma ausgestellt.
